La Paillasse
 
Introduction

‘La Paillasse’ is a traditional colombage farmhouse set in rolling French countryside to the south west of Toulouse. To one side there are views of
the Pyrenees, whilst just behind, a forest track leads down to a tranquil lake.

This charming house sleeps up to nine people in three bedrooms served by two bathrooms, with a further two people accommodated on a sofa bed if necessary. There’s plenty of room for a travel cot (which can be supplied) in any of the bedrooms.

Outside, guests have exclusive use of a fenced swimming pool and a stone BBQ. A large garden, including a field, a magical overgrown orchard and swings, gives further scope for children to burn off energy if you can persuade them to leave the pool. In the old barn, there are games such as darts and table football for further diversion. For energetic adults, a multigym sits in a shaded area of the barn. There are a number of bikes available at a nominal rate.

With a whole range of other activities in the area and further afield, your holiday in this beautiful region can be as relaxing or taxing as you wish. Spain, the west coast and the south coast are also all within striking distance.

The property is an easy drive from the airports at either Pau (Ryanair) or Toulouse (British Airways, Flybe, bmibaby and Easyjet). Both airports offer
a range of car hire companies.
